Social interactions are how we communicate with others. In a way, you and I are having a conversation right now.

Basic elements of social interaction include your role, your social status, and the type of group present.

Depending on the situation, you might present yourself to others in a deliberate way. Everyone does it. The way we treat others, our social behaviors, determine the social bonds and connections we form.

When someone is treated differently based on perceived differences in identity, it’s known as discrimination.

Humans, like atoms, prefer to be bonded.
